For the past two years, the event has taken place on the beautiful island of Hvar, Croatia. Following this success, we are excited to announce the 3rd Hvar Bodypainting Festival that will take place on the 31st of May and 1st of June 2025! The first day will feature an exciting contest where artists will compete in two categories, inspired by the theme of "TO BE ANNOUNCED." On the second day, artists can showcase their creativityvin a relaxed jam session under the theme "TBA". With Hvar as the backdrop, this promises to be an unforgettable celebration of art and community.

The World Award: Camouflage category is a special part of the World Bodypainting Festival, inspired by the famous technique where artists paint models to blend into the background. Since 2021, this award has celebrated the skill of creating optical illusions that challenge the eye. Many artists have dreamed of competing in this category, so the competition now takes place over two days, giving more participants the chance to show their talent.

Over 300 people, dressed in blue and directed by artist Elena Tagliapietra, formed a massive human wave. This artistic performance combined community, beauty, technology, and awareness to address one of the most pressing global issues of our time. A visually powerful message, supported by the local community yet carrying universal significance. On November 24, 2024, Campo Santa Maria Formosa hosted the collective performance A Human Wave Against Gender Violence – Un’Onda Umana Contro la Violenza di Genere, created by artist Elena Tagliapietra to mark the 30th anniversary of the Anti-Violence Center of the Municipality of Venice. The event, part of the November Women, Free from Violence 2024 program, gathered around 300 participants, transforming the square into a human river dressed in blue to convey a message of hope and solidarity against all forms of violence toward women. To create the scenic effect, approximately 500 meters of blue fabric were used, producing a symbolic and impactful wave.

"Revolution of Beauty" This theme invites artists to show how beauty changes across time, cultures, and perspectives. This theme is about breaking old rules, embracing diversity, and expressing individuality. It’s not just about outer beauty but about freedom and personal identity. In this competition, the human body is your canvas to challenge norms and celebrate uniqueness. Wwhether it’s your own journey or the story of an inspiring figure from history - inspire the audience with your vision.
