Italy: World Award in Camouflage

The World Award: Camouflage category is a special part of the World Bodypainting Festival, inspired by the famous technique where artists paint models to blend into the background. Since 2021, this award has celebrated the skill of creating optical illusions that challenge the eye. Many artists have dreamed of competing in this category, so the competition now takes place over two days, giving more participants the chance to show their talent.

The competition is held in Vipiteno/Sterzing, a beautiful town in the Italian Alps. Known for its colorful streets, medieval buildings, and mountain views, it feels like a place from a postcard. The town’s welcoming atmosphere and historic charm make it the perfect setting for an event where art becomes part of the surroundings.
