That’s Absurd brings together artists who embrace the space between meaning and meaninglessness, allowing for seriousness to meet humor and the ordinary takes an unexpected turn. The works in this exhibition challenge our instinct to make sense of what we see, inviting us instead to linger in the uncertain, contradictory, and bizarre.
Through surreal imagery, exaggerated forms, disrupted realities, playful gestures, and inconclusive narratives, these artists approach the absurd as both nonsense and as a way of looking more closely at the world. Here, the illogical encourages discomfort to coexist with delight because the things that make the least sense may sometimes say the most.
That’s Absurd celebrates unconventional thinking and the freedom to question, reinterpret, and simply wonder. These works ask us to loosen our grip on certainty and consider what might emerge when we stop searching for the answer - and allow the absurd to speak for itself.
That's Absurd – An Exhibition Beyond the Ordinary
The celebrations begin one day earlier, on November 6, 2026, with the opening reception of That's Absurd, an exhibition exploring the fascinating space between meaning and meaninglessness.
Through surreal imagery, exaggerated forms, unexpected perspectives and playful contradictions, participating artists challenge familiar ways of seeing the world.
The exhibition encourages visitors to embrace the unusual, question expectations and discover how humor, imagination and absurdity can offer entirely new perspectives on art.
The exhibition runs from November 6 to 28, 2026.
Nude Nocturne 2026 – A Night of Art and the Unexpected
Presented by the Alliance for the Arts, Nude Nocturne promises much more than a traditional art exhibition on November 7, 2026.
Throughout the evening, visitors can discover multiple bodypainting artworks displayed in the galleries while enjoying sensational burlesque performances, a live figure drawing lounge, music from a DJ and live performers, as well as food trucks and craft cocktails.
The event celebrates artistic freedom, self-expression and the beauty of the human form, inviting audiences to experience art in a playful, unconventional and sometimes wonderfully absurd way.
