The Austrian Bodypainting & Make-up Awards at the Pyramide Vösendorf

When Austria’s and the international make-up scene meet the world of photography, images for eternity are created. On November 14th & 15th 2026, the Austrian Bodypainting & Make-up Awards will take place as part of the renowned Photo+Adventure fair at the Pyramide Vösendorf. Organized by the global association World Bodypainting Association (WBA), the event promises a first-class visual explosion.

A highlight for trade fair visitors and photographers
Integration into Photo+Adventure creates a unique synergy. A special highlight for professionals and amateurs alike: photographers can purchase a special photo ticket, granting exclusive access to designated areas. This allows direct collaboration with the models to capture high-quality images of these fleeting works of art.

Categories & General Information

The competition is divided into four categories:

• Saturday, November 14: The focus is on the “supreme discipline,” Classic Bodypainting, where the entire body becomes a canvas.

  At the same time, professionals in Beauty Make-up demonstrate how perfection and aesthetics are defined for the advertising and fashion worlds.

• Sunday, November 15: Day two is all about imagination. In the Creative Make-up category, abstraction knows no limits, while Facepainting places the face at the center of an artistic metamorphosis.

Registrations should be done via the online form only, latest on October 12th, 2026

The Themes

• Austrian Award: CLASSIC BODYPAINTING – Theme: Metamorphosis
  Artists create a bodypainting design that visualizes transformation, showing the beauty of change from one form or reality into another.
• Austrian Award: BEAUTY MAKE-UP – Theme: Power of Color
  Artists design a striking beauty make-up look where color is the central element, highlighting the model’s features and creative expression.
• Austrian Award: CREATIVE MAKE-UP – Theme: Galactic Queen
  Artists create an imaginative make-up inspired by cosmic beauty and futuristic elements, presenting a powerful queen of the universe.
• Austrian Award: FACEPAINTING – Theme: Spirit of Vienna
  Artists interpret the artistic spirit, culture, and elegance of Vienna through a creative facepainting design.

Die Austrian Bodypainting & Make-up Awards in der Pyramide Vösendorf

Wenn Österreichs internationale Make-up-Szene auf die Welt der Fotografie treffen, entstehen Bilder für die Ewigkeit. Am 14. & 15. November 2026 finden die Austrian Bodypainting & Make-up Awards im Rahmen der renommierten Messe Photo+Adventure in der Pyramide Vösendorf statt. Organisiert vom weltweiten Verband World Bodypainting Association (WBA) verspricht das Event eine visuelle Explosion auf höchstem Niveau.

Ein Highlight für Messebesucher:innen und Fotograf:innen
Durch die Integration in die Photo+Adventure entsteht eine einzigartige Synergie. Ein besonderes Highlight für Profis und Amateure gleichermaßen: Du kannst als Fotograf:in ein spezielles Fototicket erwerben, das dir exklusiven Zugang zu ausgewiesenen Bereichen ermöglicht. So kannst du direkt mit den Models zusammenarbeiten und hochwertige Aufnahmen dieser vergänglichen Kunstwerke festhalten.

Kategorien & Allgemeine Informationen

Der Wettbewerb ist in vier Kategorien unterteilt:

• Samstag, 14. November:
  Der Fokus liegt auf der „Königsdisziplin“ Bodypainting, bei der der gesamte Körper zur Leinwand wird.
  Gleichzeitig zeigen Profis im Bereich Beauty Make-up (Commercial Make-up), wie Perfektion und Ästhetik für die Werbe- und Modewelt definiert werden.
• Sonntag, 15. November:
  Am zweiten Tag dreht sich alles um Fantasie. In der Kategorie Creative Make-up kennt die Abstraktion keine Grenzen, während beim Facepainting das Gesicht im Mittelpunkt einer künstlerischen Metamorphose steht.

Anmeldeschluss

Die Anmeldung muss ausschließlich über das Online-Formular erfolgen, spätestens bis zum 12. Oktober 2026.

Du gestaltest ein Bodypainting-Design, das Transformation visualisiert und die Schönheit der Veränderung von einer Form oder Realität in eine andere zeigt.

Austrian Award: BEAUTY MAKE-UP – Theme: Power of Color
Du kreierst einen ausdrucksstarken Beauty-Make-up-Look, bei dem Farbe das zentrale Element ist und die Gesichtszüge des Models sowie deine kreative Ausdruckskraft betont.

Austrian Award: CREATIVE MAKE-UP – Theme: Galactic Queen
Du erschaffst ein fantasievolles Make-up, inspiriert von kosmischer Schönheit und futuristischen Elementen, und präsentierst eine mächtige Königin des Universums.

Austrian Award: FACEPAINTING – Theme: Spirit of Vienna
Du interpretierst den künstlerischen Geist, die Kultur und die Eleganz Wiens in einem kreativen Facepainting-Design.
