Hvar Bodypainting Festival – June 13th & 14th, 2026
After three wonderful years on the stunning island of Hvar, Croatia, the Hvar Bodypainting Festival has become a true highlight in the European bodypainting calendar.
The 2025 edition once again enchanted participants and visitors alike with its vibrant atmosphere, creative energy, and breathtaking seaside setting.
We’re now thrilled to announce the 4th Hvar Bodypainting Festival, taking place on June 13th and 14th, 2026!
The event will once more bring together artists, models, and photographers for an unforgettable celebration of art, color, and community.
The first day will feature an exciting bodypainting competition with two categories inspired by a brand-new theme, while the second day invites everyone to a relaxed jam session by the sea.
Photographers are welcome too! Capture the creativity, emotions, and beauty of this unique open-air art experience on one of Croatia’s most beautiful islands.

Competition Day – June 13, 2026
Artists will compete in the Open Bodypainting Category, combining techniques such as brush, sponge, and airbrush, along with decorative elements like headpieces and attachments. Participants will interpret the official festival theme Stories in Wonderland - where everyday life turns into a fairytale - and present their work to our expert jury.
Attractive prizes await the top three winners, including trophies and cash awards:
- 1st place: €1,000
- 2nd place: €500
- 3rd place: €250
The day concludes with presentations, photo sessions, and an awarding celebration.
Jam Session – June 14, 2026
A relaxed creative gathering where artists can paint freely in an open, inspirational environment. Participation in the jam session is free of charge

Why Hvar?
Hvar offers the perfect backdrop for this artistic event: lavender fields, pine-covered hills, crystal-clear waters, and a rich cultural heritage. Accessible via ferry from Split, the island provides a wide range of hotels and apartments, making travel and accommodation simple for participants and visitors alike.
Important Information
The meeting point is at the ferry station in the harbor of Hvar Town on the island of Hvar. From there, transfers will be provided to the locations for both the competition and the jam session.
This applies to photographers, models, and artists alike. Transfers will be organized for all participants.
The evening program will also take place in the old town of Hvar Town.
Registration
Registration is done via the online form at wb-association.org, with a deadline of May 24, 2026. A portfolio submission is required, and the registration fee for the competition is €30 per categorie. Payment must be completed within 7 days after receiving the confirmation email
