Croatia: Hvar Bodypainting Festival 2026
After three wonderful years on the stunning island of Hvar, Croatia, the Hvar Bodypainting Festival has become a true highlight in the European bodypainting calendar.
The 2025 edition once again enchanted participants and visitors alike with its vibrant atmosphere, creative energy, and breathtaking seaside setting.
The Hvar Bodypainting Festival returns for its 3rd edition on June 13–14, 2026, bringing vibrant creativity, international artists, and the magic of body art to the stunning island of Hvar, Croatia.
Organized by the World Bodypainting Association, the festival celebrates artistic expression in one of the most breathtaking locations in the Adriatic. After two highly successful editions, this year promises an even more inspiring and colorful experience.

Competition Day – June 13, 2026
Artists will compete in the Open Bodypainting Category, combining techniques such as brush, sponge, and airbrush, along with decorative elements like headpieces and attachments. Participants will interpret the official festival theme (TBA) and present their work to an expert jury.
Attractive prizes await the top three winners, including trophies and cash awards:
- 1st place: €1,000
- 2nd place: €500
- 3rd place: €250
The day concludes with presentations, photo sessions, and an awarding celebration.
Jam Session – June 14, 2026
A relaxed creative gathering where artists can paint freely in an open, inspirational environment. Participation in the jam session is free of charge.

Registration
Registration is done exclusively via the online form at wb-association.org, with a deadline of May 24, 2026. A portfolio submission is required, and the registration fee for the competition is €30. Payment must be completed within 7 days after receiving the confirmation email
